Delightful little town with charming shops and restaurants. Views from the windows were spectacular. Bordeaux is a treasure trove of historical buildings. The guided tours were informative. The Chateau is a must-visit. Walking and kayaking options were endless. The garden at the property was a tranquil retreat.
Oh dear, what a shame there was just too much beauty and entertainment for me to handle!

The village offers limited options for dining, but there is a nearby restaurant, Le Locavore, that is highly recommended by the hosts and other guests. The food is locally sourced and the menu includes delicious dishes like duck and walnut cake. It's a great place to enjoy a tasty meal in the quiet village.
Some guests mentioned that the breakfast at the B&B could be more varied and have more options.

I had a wonderful experience at this B&B, La Maison Du Pont. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a refreshing drink. the setting next to the river was absolutely beautiful. Kim and Barry, the owners, have done an exceptional job restoring the building and creating a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. the room I stayed in was spotless, with stylish decor and comfortable furnishings. Kim and Barry were the perfect hosts, providing helpful information about the area and making sure I had everything I needed. They even recommended a fantastic restaurant next door, Le Locavore, where I had the best meal in a long time. I also thoroughly enjoyed the continental breakfast at the B&B, it was just perfect. I would highly recommend La Maison Du Pont, it's a 10 out of 10 in my book. Thank you, Kim and Barry, for a fantastic stay!
Nothing, no complaints at all. 🙌🏼.

The double bedroom was absolutely stunning with original floorboards and an exposed stone wall. It felt so cozy and rustic, we instantly fell in love with it.
While the sofa chair/bed in the double bedroom was available at an additional cost, we didn't feel the need for it. It might be more suitable for larger groups.

The location was ideal and easy to find, and the proprietors were extremely friendly and accommodating, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The breakfast could be improved with more options to choose from.

As a solo traveler, I felt like I stepped back in time and it had such a cozy atmosphere.
Personally, I found the supplement cost for the sofa chair/bed in the double bedroom a bit pricey. However, I understand that some guests may find it worth the extra expense for additional sleeping arrangements.

The double bedroom was absolutely charming with its original floorboards and exposed stone wall. It felt cozy and homely, making us feel instantly relaxed and comfortable. As guests with children, we loved the added flexibility of the sofa chair/bed.
Although the tile/marble floor in the double room looked elegant, it felt a bit cold underfoot. But hey, some people might enjoy that refreshing feeling!

The town is lovely, with shops and restaurants scattered around, and the view from the room is stunning. The Dordogne river flows through, and Bordeaux is full of historical buildings. The hosts offer tours, and the Chateau is open for visits.
Oh, I just hated the fact that there were so many preserved historical buildings in Bordeaux. Who needs all that history, right?
